A Tailored System: Violin for Life

Welcome to Do Re Mi Violin

Since 2001, I've been guiding students in the Piedmont Triad, North Carolina, toward lifelong artistry and community connection. As Gregorio Midero—violinist, performer, and dedicated educator—I'm committed to igniting a deep love for music through personalized instruction that blends modern approach and traditional with Suzuki for beginners. My system isn't just about learning notes; it's about building confidence, creativity, and expressive voices that resonate for a lifetime.

Student Achievements through My System

Over two decades, my tailored approach has empowered students to achieve remarkable milestones:

  • Lifelong artistic development
  • Youth symphony concerto competition winners and finalists
  • Principal chairs in youth orchestras
  • All-County to All-State honors acceptance and leading chair
  • Governor's School placements
  • Solo Performances

These successes stem from a proven system designed for real progress, fostering not just technical skill but joyful, meaningful engagement with music.

My Mission: Nurturing Passion and Potential

At the heart of Do Re Mi Violin is a simple yet profound goal: to cultivate high-level violin skills that spark creativity, deepen musical appreciation, and boost self-confidence. I inspire students to create music that connects them with my community in fresh, modern ways.

Core Values

Heartfelt Precision: Teaching with empathy and expertise, combining modern approach and traditional with Suzuki for beginners to help each student discover their unique, expressive voice.
Tailored for You: Every lesson is customized to individual goals, whether you're a beginner exploring the basics or an advanced player aiming for orchestral excellence.
Community Focus: Music thrives when shared—encouraging performances that build bonds and inspire others.

As the sole instructor, I pour my passion into every session, ensuring a supportive environment where students shine.

What I Offer: Flexible, Effective Violin Lessons

I provide private lessons in lengths of 45, 60, or 90 minutes, designed to fit your aspirations and schedule, with options for in-person sessions at High Point Friends Meeting (800 Quaker Ln, High Point, NC 27262) or online via secure platforms like Zoom.

Key Features

Weekly Commitment for Steady Growth: School-age students commit to at least 16 lessons per semester (aligned with Guilford County Schools). Adults enjoy flexible scheduling, with extra lessons available for accelerated progress.
Teaching Hours (In-Person): Mondays & Tuesdays: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM; Wednesdays – Fridays: 3:00 PM – 6:15 PM. Online by request.
Academic Calendar: Two semesters per year (Fall starting September 1, 2025; Spring following school holidays). Summer sessions available (minimum 4 lessons). Virtual options ensure continuity during vacations or weather disruptions.
Song Review System: A path to true mastery. Students submit memorized performances—complete with piano accompaniment—for detailed expert feedback. Every review tracks progress, strengthens memory, and builds performance readiness.
Prelude Performance Program: From living rooms to larger stages. Students first gain confidence by performing informally at home or for family and friends, then progress to more formal settings—talent shows, nursing homes, or places of worship—developing poise and presence every step of the way.

Choose Your Path: Practice Plan Intensities

It's not about age or "level"—it's about how focused you practice. Choose the intensity that fits your goals and schedule.

Intensity 1: Flexible pace, steady progress, relaxed learning.
Intensity 2: Balanced commitment with regular guidance.
Intensity 3: Structured milestones for ambitious players.
Intensity 4: Strict deadlines, rigorous prep, accelerated results.
